So it's started already. The temper, the tears, the screwed up face...all because she wants to feed herself. Yes, Megan has now officailly begun her quest for independance, and i was rather hoping this would happen when she was just a little bit older than 9 months! Still, it was rather entertaining watching her try to feed herself rice pudding and fresh strawberries (untill i got covered of course).
Hoorah, we are all off to the zoo tomorrow! Steve has managed to get a few days off work so we are going to the Zoo (courtesy of our family year pass - an inspired birthday pressie from my family)tomorrow and swimming on Thursday. I'm so excited! I think it's because it is something different, something other than the routine i've adopted over the past few months. I love spending my days with Megs but it's often a challenge to make it interesting for her, and me. Also it means that Daddy gets some quality Megsy time other than the supper-bath-bed thing he's getting so good at.
We've also managed to make some headway in our jungle garden. It now resembles a garden and the youth were able to have a water-fight in it on sunday, which is clearly what it's for anyway (also the handy upstairs window perfect for shooting at young people with a super-soaker). We now have to tackle the front garden which is no less jungle-like, containing a pampass grass that seems to be on a such mission to dominate that it could be related to the triffids. Any tips on how to kill a pampas?
